St. Nicholas Academy is a Catholic elementary school located in South Louisville. We offer a fully-certified preschool program as well as a high-quality academic program serving grades K-8.
In addition to the core subjects of religion, Language Arts, math, social studies and science, we offer art, library, music, PE, Spanish, and technology.
St. Nicholas provides a wide variety of academic, artistic, and athletic extra-curricular activities.

  • St. Nicholas Academy has one of the most diverse student bodies in the Archdiocese of Louisville! 48% of our students are not caucasian and many of our students speak a language other than English when at home. Additionally, you do not need to be Catholic to attend.
  • Over half of our school families receive financial aid to help with tuition!
  • Students entering preschool must be age three or four before August 1 of the school year. Students entering kindergarten must be age five before August 1.
  • Children with special needs are admitted after consideration of the severity of the learning disability, level of support needed, and availability of resources.
