South Shore Christian Academy is a vibrant, culturally diverse preschool - grade 12 Christian school in Weymouth, Massachusetts, in which music education is an essential and deeply valued part of the student experience. We are searching for a dynamic, skilled, and passionate music educator to teach PK-8 General Music, AND/OR Upper School Choir and Orchestra, at a small Christian school with a growing Music department. Depending on promising candidates'' availability and expertise, this position can be either full-time or part-time If the position is filled by two part-time educators, the specific responsibilities may be redistributed among the two roles in order to best match the expertise of the educators. General Music: Half-time position This individual will have formal training in music pedagogy. Help students from preschool through grade 8 to grow in musical awareness, appreciation, literacy, and skill from the earliest grades through high school, with ample opportunities at each level to make music with their voices and with various instruments such as ukulele, Orff instruments, keyboards, guitars, and others. Dive In Commonwealth is a free summer and school-year program for high-achieving middle-school students from low-income communities across the greater Boston area. Starting the summer after sixth or seventh grade and lasting until the fall of their freshman year, Dive In students engage in rigorous classes and exciting extracurriculars, preparing them for private schools and the path to college. Like our parent school, Commonwealth School, Dive In empowers motivated students by offering enriching activities in a close-knit community of like-minded peers. Our unique urban campus is located in the heart of Boston''s historic Back Bay, easily accessible by public transportation. Dive In Commonwealth seeks a Math Teacher for the summer of 2024. The teacher will work with a small group of middle-school students to advance their practical knowledge of math, nurture their innate curiosity, cultivate their intellectual confidence, and strengthen general learning skills in the classroom and beyond. We are currently searching for a super fun, high energy and reliable person for our part-time After School program. The After School staff play all types of indoor and outdoor games (including Gaga) and activities with students in grades K through 8. No homework, all play! The weekly schedule is Monday through Friday from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm each day, and runs through the end of the 2023-2024 school year, but we''re sure the kiddos will leave you wanting more time with them! A typical afternoon looks like this: Snack and some iPad or work, then transitioning to play time, which means getting them off their devices. Any time the weather permits, we are outdoors, where they run, jump, play Gaga, and -- hopefully -- burn off lots of energy. If it''s too wet or cold, they are inside with crafts, games, "Just Dance", and occasionally an indoor pick up game of Gaga. Did we mention how much they love Gaga?
