The average financial assistance is 50% of the tuition and fees Program Overview · All classes K – 8 follow CA state standards and utilize research based curricular programs · Students participate in physical education, music, health, art, computer, nutrition and drama classes · All students have access to a state of the art computer lab which is connected to the school's wireless network · Extended morning and evening care is available to students in grades K – 6 · All 8th grade students prepare for high school admissions through SSAT prep classes and receive one-on-one assistance from our high school admissions counselor Student Body Diversity is a defining feature of our school · Cultural – Our students and their families represent more than 25 different ethnic backgrounds. · Religious – MFA serves children of all faiths. · Economic – Families range from those paying full tuition to those who have full need-based scholarships, with most families falling in between. · Geographic – 20 percent of students reside outside of San Francisco County commuting each day to attend MFA. Location Megan Furth Academy is currently housed at St. Dominic's Church in lower Pacific Heights.By summer of 2007, work will begin on the school's permanent campus occupying nearly half of a city block on Fell Street between Webster and Fillmore. This new site will open in the fall of 2009 and include grades Pre-K to 8.
