The Institute of Notre Dame (IND) is a girls Catholic high school located in the heart of Baltimore City.

Founded in 1847 by the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the school continues today at its original location.

in academics, athletics, or in extracurricular activities, IND

beyond. Since
2009, the school has maintained a 1:1 Student-Tablet PC
Program. Through the careful integration of technology across the
curriculum, teachers create a learning environment that is more
individualized and tailored to each student's needs. By providing
each student with her own tablet PC, IND ensures that technology is
an affordable, accessible, and indispensible educational tool. IND
offers three signature programs in Biomedical Sciences, Computer
Science and Engineering.

The Institute of Notre Dame is an amazing facility geared to nurture and encourage high school-age girls to become independent, mature, educated, and socially aware young women. Our graduates are fully prepared for the intense academic and emotional riggers of college. In addition, the camaraderie among our diverse group of students is astonishing. We develop friendships that will last a lifetime.

IND is a fantastic school where the girls find their voice. The community is close and welcoming, and the diversity of the student body helps the students learn about other cultures and ethnicities making them better citizens of the world. The teachers are dedicated and willing to give extra help anytime. Also, the location of the school is wonderful for parents who work downtown and need to drop off and pick up students. The building is open from 6am-6pm and they provide breakfast and lunch at a small fee. This has allowed both my husband and me to work downtown and still be part of our daughters' education. If your daughter's play sports or like extracurricular activities, there are about 14 different sports and a ton of clubs for them to participate in. We are blessed to be able to send our girls here.

IND is a wonderfully caring and supportive environment. Academics are solid and the school offers many extracurricular activities. Many schools do to, but then the clubs never meet. That is not the case here. The students are very proactive and love to start clubs and pursue their interests. They are also very involved in community service and helping the people of Baltimore City. I can't imagine a better place for my daughters. I know they will always be independent, hard working and advocate for those who can't, thanks to IND.
