Casa de Montessori has instilled a love of learning since its inception in 1969.
During the course of those years, only three people have headed the school and we have experienced incredibly low turnover with our faculty and staff because the caring and nurturing environment that works for our students also works for our staff..

I have sent two children to Casa and can't say enough good things about it. This is a true gem, and if you are curious I advise you to go visit. Seeing the light-filled classrooms and the calm, competent teachers at work convinced me when I visited. I like that the student population is ethnically diverse, and the curriculum focuses on the children taking virtual trips to countries around the world. Often parents from those countries will participate by cooking dishes or bringing in cultural objects from their homeland. All the staff is caring and engaged.

I can't say enough good things about the Montessori philosophy, and Casa is a wonderful small school with a relaxed, family feel. My sons'' teacher is the school's founder, and the boys love her. They''ve been talking all summer about going back to school--they really miss the classroom work. We decided to keep our older son there this year for his Kindergarten year, and our younger son loves being in his brother's class--the multi-age classrooms are a nice perk (and philosophically preferable, according to research). Casa is also quite affordable compared to other area Montessoris (and they offer before- and after-care).
Music and art are incorporated into classroom work; there is a little weekly exposure to Spanish with one of the classroom assistants who is a native Spanish speaker. They offer weekly after-school soccer through Soccer Shots in the fall and spring.
The classrooms are large, light and inviting, and the daycare room is also large and well-outfitted with toys and an eating area.

My kids love Casa de Montessori School! I''m so glad we found it. Following the Montessori method, staff do an excellent job of fostering a love of learning and self confidence in every child. This is very important to me as I am a trained Montessori teacher. But what really has won me over are the caring, friendly, hardworking teachers and staff that make Casa such a great school. If you are looking for a great start for your child in learning and life, Casa is it! They provide a welcoming and peaceful environment for pre-school, Kindergarten and before and after care. Opportunities for music and art are woven into the curriculum on a daily basis and creativity flourishes in the inviting classroom environments. Don't be fooled by Casa's humble exterior, a real gem awaits you on the inside!
