Our family just graduated an 8th grader from Berkeley Hall School. To say this school is unlike no other is an understatement. Although many schools claim to care, I have never seen a school truly embody this by embracing every child and pushing them to their potential. My student, who excelled in math, was guided by one of the best math instructors, Ms. Neale. He competed in the Math Olympiad and was accepted to all five high school choices. However, my academic achievements come second to the kind respectful son we sent to high school. Middle school can be a challenging time and we are blessed to be surrounded by loving families and children who do not bully; rather an inclusive and warm environment among students is fostered. My son leaves with a moral compass ready to take on new challenges. Every middle school teacher speaks about EVERY student at graduation which speaks volumes: BHS truly puts their mission statement to action! Thank you, Berkeley Hall School!

Berkeley Hall has been an incredible experience for our family. My daughter is not only excelling academically but has also developed a real passion for learning. She's actively involved in sports and enjoys every moment of it. The school offers a variety of activities that allow kids to explore their interests and find their true passions. What really warms my heart is hearing her say how much she misses school and can't wait to see her friends and teachers. The community at Berkeley Hall is wonderful, and we couldn't be happier with our choice. Highly recommend this school to any parent looking for a nurturing and engaging environment for their child!

We researched a number of private schools in the Los Angeles area and ultimately chose Berkeley Hall because of the incredible campus and facilities, welcoming community, and focus on character and leadership. We feel the small class sizes (and the fact that there is only one class per grade) lead to personalized care and attention for our child. Especially coming out of the pandemic, we wanted our child to be in a school environment that actively promotes collaboration and problem solving, instills empathy and understanding, and gives all kids a chance to learn and practice grit and resilience. We are happy to say that Berkeley Hall is providing that and more, and our child is thriving.

We love BHS mainly because of its inclusion, diversity, and equality. My son joined BHS in 6th grade from HK, it was a big change for him as he needed to adapt to the local culture, to use English as his 1st speaking language in the school. As parents, we are concerned about bullying issues and we are also worried about the different education systems between Asia and the USA. Now two years past my son works so well at school, he enjoys school time and is always happy to be back to school. He continuously grows his confidence in both academics and sports. We are also so grateful that BHS develop the students through outdoor trip, my son made a dramatic change from a one-week Yosemite Trip, he saw how amazing the nature history is, he challenged himself to have a long-distance walk every day and he enjoyed the group activities to interact with his peers. It's a great trip for kids to grow up not only physically but more importantly mentally. If you are a new immigrant in the USA and want to find a good school for your kids, choose BHS; If you want your kids to enter into a decent independent high school, choose BHS; If your kids struggle with bullying issues from their current school, transfers to BHS; If you want to your kids to get special care, choose BHS; ...... Whatever the reason in your mind, BHS should be one of the best for your kids' growth.

My son, Troy, entered Berkeley Hall in the seventh grade. Without fail, every day I pick him up from school Troy is fulfilled with the experiences the school day has given him. His friends come from solid families with good morals. They talk about international events and business. They play chess online. They come from diverse backgrounds. I couldn't be more pleased with the friends Troy has made. "Stick with the winners," I tell Troy. BHS is full of them. The teachers and administration are so engaged and passionate. Troy likes what he learns. We are updated daily with online access to curriculum and progress. We have conferences every trimester. We are informed. Troy loved his mock trial and 3D printing electives. His curriculum is rigorous but not overbearing.BHS is a community. The school brings the families together regularly. We are so pleased with our experience. They are holding our hand during the high school admissions process. Thank you BHS!

Berkeley Hall School is more than a learning institution to me, it's a lifelong home. BHS specializes in creating and delivering what I've come to believe are "full exposure" moments. Like a picture, you can snap back into the memories, subjects, and experiences- years after they're made- and relive the authenticity and passion as though you witnessed it yesterday. Aside from the supremely above-average and rigorous academic programs, creating and building traditions is an important and meaningful part of the BHS experience, too. The school acts as an extended family that offers invaluable "life skills" learning opportunities, which prepare students for reality and enable kids to develop leadership abilities they can use to navigate through ambiguity. The teachers, parents, and alumni groups that form around each student foster a sense of belonging and help students to become better stewards of their integrity, better servants to their communities, and all-around better humans.
