Founded in 1923, Assumption is a thriving school with over 600 students in preschool through 8th grade.
Assumption`s curriculum stresses academic achievement within a Christian community where children feel loved and respected by their peers as well as their teachers.
United with each other in meaningful liturgy and prayer, the students can further come to an understanding of the Christian life.
The curriculum is marked by current content and fresh approaches to methodology.
There is emphasis on principles rather than fact, on learning through problem solving rather than by precept.
We offer our students an array of reading, research, multimedia resources, and technology options so that they may succeed in the rapidly changing world.
In addition to these formal studies, Spanish, art, drama, music, media research and technology, and physical education are woven into the curriculum.
Students are also given the opportunity to participate in team sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, softball and cross country.
Together, with the Assumption families, we strive to build the student`s character and Christian values, leadership abilities, and dedication to service through daily religious prayer and instruction by teachers, priests and sisters.
